The Cost of a Healthy Mind

The Cost  of  Owning A  Healthy Mind!!
PART ONE

"No Health Without Mental Health" should motivate every human being to learn how their own minds and those around them operate. Unfortunately, as evident as it sounds, the many ways some treat their minds and the minds of others forced me to go back to the basics. Perhaps, The most straightforward way to understand how the human mind function is to compare to a computer and its accessories.   Consider the mind like a computer's CPU (Central Processing Unit).

Think about the following scenario.  Suppose an employee comes to work on his/her desktop computer; they turn on their monitor just to find out the monitor does not obey the commands it's been given through the keyboard and the mouse.

What could be wrong? The issues could be a power outage, or the cord not plugged in correctly,

What would one do in such an unfortunate scenario? If the person knows how computers should adequately operate, the first measure is to check if the computer is correctly plugged into a power source (obviously).

However, if the problem did not come due to not being connected to a power source or not power outage, the issue is in the CPU (Central Processing Unit).

It is common sense that improper use of a computer (ex. too many downloads simultaneously, viruses, etc. ) can negatively affect the machine.
It might be the employee's fault, provided that this is their designated computer at work.
Sadly, similar predicaments can influence the human mind: Worrying about matters one can't change,  unrealistic expectations, not sleeping enough, sleeping too much, enduring emotional and psychological abuse. The list is endless.

We will leave the issue of the dysfunctional computer to a computer technician. However, we will discuss everything that affects our minds in the upcoming posts.

Stay Tunned.
